At Jacobs Inn, they welcome guests of all sorts – groups, solo backpackers and families. The rooms all have en-suite showers and toilets. They have two lounges to hang out in, where you can swap stories with other travellers and use the free Wi-Fi for browsing, streaming or updating your travel blog. Jump in on a free walking tour or learn about our local culture with dance nights and live music.
You’ll find Jacob’s Inn right opposite Busáras, Dublin’s main bus station. The 757 bus goes directly to Dublin Airport from outside our door and takes about 25 minutes. If you’re here for the nightlife, you’ll be keen to visit Temple Bar, a Dublin staple only 15 minutes away by foot. To check out Ireland’s pub culture even closer to home, head around the corner to The Celt for a refreshing pint or Brew Dock next door.
Rooms and Dorms
They’ve got single and multi-person rooms, as well as big, shared dorms to choose from. The private rooms have hotel-like bathrooms. Whichever bed you choose, you’ll get free linen. If you’re in a dorm, you’ll have your own personal locker under your bunk to keep your stuff stashed away safely.
Extras and activities
Before going out and about, ask the travel-desk staff for key info on tours and activities. Laundry facilities are on hand if you need a day in to take care of those traveller tasks, too. Don’t worry if your backpack is getting heavy, either – they have an elevator to help you to your room and free luggage scales so you can check that you’re still within your airline allowance after souvenir shopping.
